Check your device

An eSIM requires a compatible phone. Check yours before you buy.

The list isn’t exhaustive: if your phone isn’t on it, that doesn’t mean it’s incompatible. Look for an “Add eSIM” option in its settings — that’s the surest check.

Compatibility FAQ

How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?

On iPhone: Settings › Mobile Data › Add eSIM. On Android: Settings › Connections › SIM manager. If you see an eSIM option, you're good to go.

Is my phone SIM-locked?

Your phone must be carrier-unlocked to use a Datayop eSIM. Phones bought outright or from most European carriers are unlocked.

Can I use eSIM and my physical SIM at the same time?

Yes. Most eSIM phones are dual-SIM: keep your usual number active for calls/SMS and use the Datayop eSIM for data abroad.
